SUMMER NIGHTS

Summer Nights are the Best....
This past weekend was filled with extra fun and adventure. Friday night, we went and saw Tim Mcgaw at Usana Ampitheater. LIFE CHANGING. This was our third time seeing tim, but the first time we were in the "PIT." I was literally 5 feet from him.  Love & Theft and Brantley Gilbert opened for him and they were both awesome.  When Tim came on stage, i squealed like a 13 year old girl. I take that back, i squealed like a 13 year old girl the ENTIRE time. YES, i was THAT girl. poor jeff was so sick of me by the end of the night, but he just let me scream anyways.

Tim is by far the best live concert. He sang for two hours straight, and sounds AWESOME. He is so fit and looks better than ever(with his hat on).  We rode the motorcycle out there and it was such a beautiful night. Easily, the best way to start the summer. Jeff and I have said we want to see him perform in Nashville, since my mom lives there. It would be amazing to see him in his hometown.

Saturday night after i got off work we headed up Farmington Canyon. Mind you, the canyon is a 5 minute drive from our house.  It is so beautiful up in the mountains, and i love when we go take random adventures. We rode the 4 wheelers about 8 miles up the canyon to the hidden pond.  We've been going here for almost three years. This pond is full of the grosest little salamanders.  They look like aliens! Jeff of course got in the water and caught all of them while i stood on shore and harbored them and took all the photos!  We caught four total and named them, ( i named them) Sloth, frank, Sally and Toothless. I begged jeff to take them home(of course) he said no. Boo.  The sun was setting as we drove home, but i kept stopping and trying to take photos. Farmington canyon is so beautiful. I'm so grateful to live in such a beautiful state and have our backyard mountains.

Fun times

FUN

Trying to be a good blogger, is a lot harder than it seems.
Life as of lately has been lovely. The warm weather has brought some fun!

I begged Jeff to take me to baby animal days.. which is basically a children's event. They have all these different baby animal vendors. You can hold or pet most of the animals. The little bunny in the picture stole my heart. Everything from cows to ducks, it was magical. Easily the best $5 i've ever spent. Jeff was so sweet to come. He liked the goats and the llamas. It was a glorious Saturday. We may or may not have been the only adults there without children. haha.
I found these beautiful pictures of us babes back in the day. I couldn't help but laugh. NO, i am not a boy. But i sure look like one. Whoever is responsible for that hair cut needs to be punished. I blame my grandma or my mom.  I was NOT the prettiest petunia to say the least. Look at my handsome hubby though! Sheesh what a babe. Clearly, i got the better end of the deal.  He's always had good looks.
We graced the Dirty Dash for the third year in a row.  It's always a blast. The cold showers at the end are the worst part of the entire thing, and having to Qtip your ears daily for a week to get the dirt out.
We had the best group. We definitely have been blessed with some great friends, and always have a great time with them.

Happy Belated Mothers Day

First off, We got to chat with this boy. So much fun. He is currently serving in New York New York North and in the Harlem area.  He's loving the work and growing so much.  I'm so proud of him. I miss him more than i can explain, but i'm so grateful for his service and know he's where the lord needs him at this time.

As for these two beautiful women. I consider myself the luckiest to claim them both as my mommas.
My mom is my best friend, and though we don't necessarily see eye to eye on everything, she is my number one fan, and always has been.  I love her so much and i'm so grateful for everything she's taught me, and I give her credit in helping me shape me into the woman i am today.  She is the most understanding, hardworking, and selfless person i know.  She truly is amazing.

As for my MIL Judy, I can't even begin to express how grateful I am for having her in my life.  Jeff's mom is truly the most christ like individual i've ever met. She's patient, and kind, and has never said anything negative about anyone or anything.  I'm grateful for the woman she is, and for raising my husband to be loving and caring and respectful towards all women.  Jeff adores his mom, and it makes me just adore him even more to see them interact.

I'm so grateful for all of the mom's and motherly figures i've had in my life. I was raised by an amazing woman, but there's been countless who have helped as well, including close friend's mom's, young women leaders, grandma's, etc.  I know i'm not a mother yet, and don't plan to be for a while, but my heart is full thinking of the sacred duty of motherhood and the opportunity i have to raise children one day.  I think mom's are one of heavenly father's most sacred.

This picture was captured this past Saturday at 7am. I squealed in excitement when i witnessed these two sprinting across the sidewalk.  Jeff just laughed and rolled his eyes, but really, I thought it was so hilarious to see the two snails racing, fully out of their shell.  I'm convinced it was a snail couple sliming the sidewalk in love.

(It's about the little things people.) Don't judge me. I love all creatures.
(except for snakes and spiders)

This spring was good to us. We've planted a garden, had our first bonfire in our backyard, planted our flower bed, bought a new truck, and more.  We're so excited Summer is in full swing, and i plan to update you on our adventures!
